"...equip and inspire authentic leaders for Christ."
Why Choose a Christian Education?
Lessons in textbooks aren't the only things your child is learning. We believe in educating the whole child-- body, mind, and spirit. By challenging them to achieve their highest academic and creative potential in a Godly learning environment, we can prepare them to change the world-- rather than be changed by it. We strive for an internal investment with an eternal reward.
Our Educational Approach
At the heart of our instruction lays a Scriptural approach to learning. Understanding the integration of a Christ-centered life with education, Covenant Academy’s teaching staff seeks to ascertain the learning style and development of each child individually, offering a truly personalized educational experience to every student. By God's grace, we seek to equip and inspire authentic leaders for Christ!
I grew up in Shreveport, LA and graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics. Married my wonderful husband in 2008 and spent the first 5 years of our marriage in Houston, TX. I spent the last year and a half in Houston teaching pre-k at a Mother's Day Out program 2 days a week and that is when I fell in love with teaching young children. My husband and I moved to Kerrville in 2013 and I started teaching at Covenant in 2015. I have spent the last year teaching pre-k and kindergarten Sunday School at my church. I love teaching children about Jesus and getting to do that at work is such a joy!
“A man’s heart plans his ways, but the LORD directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9
Growing up I always had a strong love for learning and teaching. As a child my “students” consisted of baby dolls and stuffed animals sitting at chalk designed “desks” at the end of the cul-de-sac of my street. As I progressed into an accomplished classical musician in my youth, I began teaching private clarinet lessons, further advancing my love of learning and teaching. The plans of my heart were to go on to college to become a Band Director; but the Lord, in His infinite wisdom, directed my steps and aspirations elsewhere: teaching Early Childhood & Elementary Education in a Christian setting, in which Kindergarten quickly became my favorite!
I am married with 5 children (all boys!) and we adopted another young man into our family recently bringing the total to 6. I have been teaching for 18 years, 5 of those homeschooling my own children, and the other 13 in early childhood or private Christian schools teaching Kindergarten-3rd Grade. I am blessed to teach in a school which begins each day sharing my love for music through Praise & Worship and weaving God’s Word throughout our entire day through curriculum and conversations. I am so thankful the Lord called on me to help instill a strong spiritual and academic foundation of His children, and I even still get to use chalk!
I graduated from Baylor University and received a Bachelor of Science in Education. I am a certified teacher for grades 1-6. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade in Waco and Dallas. I love teaching 1st grade at Covenant Academy! My joy is with the first graders! I am married with 3 children. I have 2 sons and a daughter. I am blessed to be teaching my 3rd year at Covenant Academy.

About Me: I was born in Pennsylvania, but I was raised in The Woodlands, Texas. I graduated from Oak Ridge High School and went on to college at Sam Houston State University. (Eat'em Up Bearkats!) I began my teaching career teaching grades 9-12th at Shepherd High School, in Shepherd, Texas. After having my daughter I stayed at home until she reached school age. I returned to teaching in Huntsville, Texas at a Classical Christian School and taught 5th grade there for a couple of years. My husband's work afforded us an amazing opportunity to move to Kerrville. I enrolled my daughter at Covenant Academy, and shortly thereafter I joined the Covenant team. I have taught 3rd and 4th grades here and have enjoyed working in such a Christ-led environment.
My name is Aubree Reed, I'm a proud mother of 3 young boys and the 4th grade teacher at Covenant Academy. I graduated from Texas Tech University with my Bachelors Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies, certified EC-6th grade. We've lived back in Kerrville now for 9 years, living in the house we built next to my parents :).
My name is Debbie Bosworth. I have taught elementary age students for many years and formally retired from public education. The greatest gift that I can give as a teacher is the love of learning. This includes exploring ideas, questioning, reasoning, and applying knowledge. Every child deserves a meaningful life and a chance to pursue their dreams. My goal is to point them to true wisdom that comes from heaven which will enable us to act with integrity and realize possibilities never before considered.
I grew up in a small town near Temple/Belton Texas on a small farm. I graduated from Academy High School then went to Schreiner University here in Kerrville where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. During my time at Schreiner I had several instructing/tutoring jobs with the university that helped me decide teaching math is what I wanted to do with my life! Currently, I teach Math, Pre- Algebra, and Algebra for the middle school grades and Bible for 8th grade. You may think I'm crazy, (I know the students do!) but I love teaching math and helping others to better understand it! I have to say though, that while I love teaching math and hope they learn to love it as well, my true hope in teaching is that my students leave my class knowing they are loved and cared for. I have been married to my wonderful husband for three years. We have two dogs that are spoiled rotten and are expecting a son in March! We can't wait!! The Lord has truly blessed our lives.
Covenant Academy makes available for students a safe after school environment where your child can work on homework, use the computer lab, or just play and have fun with their friends.
